Responsibilities
- Regulatorypliance : Ensurepliance with customs, export control, and sanctions regulations, including managing import / export licences and permits.
- Duty Savings : Apply knowledge of legal regulations and free trade agreements to minimise import costs and manage duty deviation schemes.
- Risk Management : Identify and mitigatepliance risks to safeguard organisational reputation and prevent legal issues.
- Process Optimisation : Develop and enhance tradepliance processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Trend Monitoring : Keep abreast of global tradepliance trends and regulations, offering strategic guidance to the organisation.
- Digital Transformation : Support the development of global tradepliance systems and digitalisation initiatives.
- Training & Awareness : Deliver training sessions to promotepliance and uphold high standards within the Internalpliance Programme (ICP).
Primary Tasks :
- Develop and coordinate policies and procedures for customs and tradepliance.
- Collaborate with Business Units to ensure effective implementation ofpliance procedures and regulations.
- Manage internal controls and master data relating to trade regulations.
- Oversee restricted party screening, duty savings, and budget management for the Hanau operations.
- Lead and develop the Tradepliance team based in Hanau, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement and support tradepliance transformation initiatives.
Technical Requirements :
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in tradepliance or a similar field.
- Extensive knowledge of German and EU customs and trade regulations.
- Fluency in German and English.
- Strong digital skills, with experience in ERPs and Tradepliance Management Systems.

Additional Details :
- Location : Minimum of 3 days per week onsite in Hanau; remote work possible for the remaining days.
- Travel : Occasional travel to other HQ sites may be required.
- Contract Duration : Immediate start, with the contract ending on 31 December 2024 (potential to extend)
- Travel Policy : Business travel will be reimbursed according topany policy.
