YOUR FUTURE ROLE

As part of our 12-month trainee program (starting on October 2024 or January 2025), you will go through our various departments, participate in an intensive training, be assigned a personal mentor, and be trained in the following areas :

S / 4HANA Finance

S / 4HANA Technology (column-based in-memory databases, NetWeaver basics, mobile applications)

Data Volume Management and Native Storage Extension

Service delivery for the SAP premium customer segment

Upon successful completion of the training, you will join our team of experts and work with your international colleagues to provide strategy, assessment, and optimization services to our global customers. Working in the CoE means lifelong learning, as our software products continue to evolve at a high pace and we always deal with the latest software technology. Therefore, we also invest in continuous education after your training period.

Our customers :

  • Delivering short term services for premium engagement customers (big customers that are known to everybody e.g. most of the German DAX companies)
  • The average duration for a service is two weeks including analysis and presentation time.

Analysis :

  • Large companies will create large amount of data inside the customer database.
  • Checking the top database tables regarding archiving, deletion, avoidance, and summarization of data.
  • Research in new areas in order to provide solution to reduce the data footprint.

    • Presentation & Discussion of results

  • Results are discussed and explained either remote or face to face.
  • Knowledge transfer to our customer in a professional way.
  • Travel to our customers. The expected traveling will be between 0 and 40%.
  • Sometimes we also implement the deletion and archiving solutions inside the customer system (long term engagements).

    • Outcome :

  • Reduce and optimize the database size of our premium customers.
  • Reduction of hardware expenses
  • Increase of SAP system performance
  • Reduction of energy consumption and carbon footprint
  • Most probably you will not find any job at SAP that will reduce the carbon footprint in a larger scale.

    Soft Skills :

  • analytical, results-driven, and solution-oriented team player

  • willingness to travel to customers [up to 40% traveling]
  • fluent in German and English

    • Technical Skills :

  • Ability to write easy SQL statements
  • Understanding of databases
  • first experience with SAP ECC or SAP S / 4HANA or SAP NetWeaver Systems [optional]
  • first experience with ABAP / ABAP Performance Optimization [optional]
  • Bachelor / master’s degree in IT / Computer Science / Physics / Mathematics / Engineering or Business Economics [optional]

    • ABOUT THE TEAM

    Our SAP Data Volume Management CoE team is located in 3 different locations. Currently 15 people from 8 different nations are working inside the team. The average age is under 30 years. We love to help our customers, just as much having fun in the office.

    Most of the time we travel in small groups to our customers. Hand in hand deliveries with experienced co-workers will give you the confidence you need to grow in your focus area. After the workshops we are exploring new places in new locations together.

    Rotation programs into worldwide CoE’s will provide new opportunities to be at your best-in-class performance.
