For a project we are looking for a Senior Data Scientist (f / m / d) in Erlangen.

Aufgaben

  • Describe phenomena based on data and modeling, and help the procurement organization make data driven decisions
  • Acquire the basic business data knowledge during onboarding period and continuously extend and update them with additional project experience
  • Perform data engineering tasks using adequate information technologies (e.g. SQL, web scraping, etc) : ETL processes and data pipelines. With skills in cloud data base technologies (e.g. Snowflake, star schema, relational databases, etc), be able to build data views (“tabular data model”) and write scripts in an efficient way
  • Perform efficient explanatory data analysis using advanced techniques (e.g. outliers detection algorithms, imputation methods, statistical correlations, dimension reduction techniques like PCA, etc)
  • Provide actionable insights using data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlik, plotly, seaborn, etc) and / or process automation solutions (e.g. Service Now, Mendix, Power App, etc)
  • Bring excellence in data science topics, delivering and maintaining accurate data models (“mathematical data model”) using regression techniques, machine learning, optimization and stochastics, mainly for classification and prediction
  • Develop algorithms at the right level of quality and complexity to solve business problems
  • Develop solutions based on generative AI techniques and large language models

Qualifikation

  • Master in Data Science or Master in Mathematics or Master Engineering Science or Master in Physics
  • In-depth understanding and operational experience in data modeling and analysis.
  • Expertise in performing ETL processes and building data pipelines using technologies such as SQL, web scraping, and cloud databases (e.g., Snowflake)
  • Knowledge in applying advanced analysis techniques such as outlier detection algorithms, imputation methods, and statistical correlations to explain data phenomena
  • Experience in using dimension reduction methods like PCA (Principal Component Analysis)
  • Expertise in using data visualization tools such as Power BI, Qlik, Plotly, and Seaborn to create dashboards and reports for data-driven decision-making
  • Experience in implementing process automation solutions (e.g., ServiceNow, Mendix, Power App) to optimize workflows and decision-making processes
  • Advanced knowledge in machine learning and data science
  • Experience in developing solutions based on generative AI techniques and Large Language Models (LLMs) to address complex business problems and process automation
  • Language : English fluent (C1), German optional

    Duration : 30.09.2025 (with option of contract extension)
