The primary role of the CEE Controller to ensure the financial integrity of the business operations in Germany and Poland. They will be responsible for managing the finance function, monitoring, and supporting finance department’s performance and adherence to the group policies and statutory requirements. The role is part of Central Europe Finance team reporting to Senior Finance Manager

Responsibilities :

Preparation of monthly and year end statutory financial accounts according to HGB and IFRS

Prepare income / revenue reconciliation on a monthly basis.

The main contact and management of the EMEA and Outsourced Shared Services team who will be carrying out month-end process.

Support the month-end reporting / closing processes.

Manage and comply with the local tax filing requirements-tax returns for the DE, AT, PL locations

Drive process improvements in end-to end processes to fulfil business objectives.

Ensure accurate and robust compliance and reporting.

Liaise with internal and external auditors regarding audit and compliance requirements. Prepare for and finalize audit process.

Ensure revenue is booked according to IFRS.

Review salary before payment.

Actively engage in cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company.

Administration of bank signatories and trade limits in line with Group policies.

Various analyses and ad hoc reports.

Skills and Qualifications :

Bachelors or Master’s in Accounting or Finance is desirable but not necessary.

5+ year professional experience in the field of Accounting / Auditing preferably within an international company

Strong knowledge of financial terms, concepts and accounting principles

Strong experience of understanding and interpreting control and operational risk

Organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Advanced excel skill

Good understanding of finance and ERP systems

Prior experience in ERP Oracle is an added advantage.

Legal Entity consolidation knowledge will be very helpful in being successful at this role.

Proficient in German and English

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment desirable
