This role requires a proactive, entrepreneurial approach and offers the opportunity to work across a variety of transactions, contributing to the growth of a new office and team. You will be involved in all aspects of deal execution, from origination to closing, and will play a key role in client relationships and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal Execution : Assist and lead M&A transactions end-to-end, including sell- and buy-sides, growth equity, and financial sponsor transactions
- Pitching & Business Development : Prepare and deliver pitches and presentations for prospective clients
- Team Mentorship : Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, reviewing outputs, and ensuring high-quality work is consistently delivered
- Client Management : Maintain and build client and stakeholder relationships, acting as a key point of contact on transactions and taking responsibility for materials and client interactions
- Networking : Build your own network within the technology and investment banking sectors, establishing relationships with key industry participants and potential clients
Experience & Skills
Dependent on level - 2-6 years of experience in M&A, Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Private Equity or Venture CapitalPrior transaction experience across Tech or Enterprise Software transactionsEntrepreneurial mindset with passion for technology, comfortable working in an evolving environment where they will have significant involvement from day oneAbility to speak both German and English fluently (essential)Strong analytical and quantitative skills, particularly valuation (including LBOs, sensitivities and returns analysis) and financial modellingAbility to work independently in an international team, supporting senior members and coaching and mentoring juniorsSelf-starter, with a proactive approach in taking the initiative on deal-related and other business mattersExcellent communication skills
