Operational and Section Development LeadershipBe highly visible and supportive inside and outside classrooms and at school eventsModel and promote positive behaviorsMaintain oversight of students, such as student behavior, late work, punctuality and attendance and academic concerns, liaising with teachers, parents and Head of Section as necessary, developing appropriate interventions in collaboration with relevant stakeholdersSupport the work of the Head of Section and Section Counselor(s) pertaining to student concerns, prioritizing and actioning / referring on as necessarySupport the Head of Section and Head of Student Wellbeing and Safeguarding with the implementation of the pastoral program, including the advisory program, transitions (including course choices), student progress meetings and any other initiatives in this areaCollaborate with the IB programme coordinators to foster student agency, action and engagementOversee the leadership, running and training of the Student Council and other student agency, action and engagements initiativesSchedule and oversee student led assemblies and student community eventsSupport Head of Section to lead the section in close liaison with all stakeholders, in alignment with the FIS values and guiding statementsSupport Head of Section in organizing the day to day running of the section, including calendar, field trips, events, exams, conferences, reporting, daily schedule, supervision of duties, emergency cover, internship applications, transcript management, communicating section relevant topics, and other operational systemsSupport with the development of school culture by in implementing and monitoring section relevant policiesDeputize in the absence of Head of SectionOrganize and oversee standardized testingSupport Head of Section in communicating section relevant topics2.
