The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE in Freiburg is the largest solar energy research institute in Europe. Our approximately 1,400 employees are working for a sustainable, economic, safe and socially just energy supply system based on renewable energies. We contribute to this with our research priorities of energy supply, energy distribution, energy storage and energy use. We are shaping the sustainable transformation of the energy system through outstanding research results, successful industrial projects, company spin-offs and global collaborations.
Would you like to actively shape the energy transition and gain practical experience during your studies?
The “Conductive Adhesive Bonding” team is part of the “Photovoltaic Modules” department. Our team's task is to interconnect highly efficient solar cells such as heterojunction, shingle or tandem solar cells using conductive adhesives. We work with numerous industrial partners to realize novel module technologies with conductive adhesives. In the projects, we investigate the material and joint properties as well as the processes for the successful use of the adhesives. Matrix shingle technology is particularly suitable for applications in integrated photovoltaics due to its outstanding masonry appearance.
For our team “Conductive Adhesive Bonding” we are looking for a student assistant as of December 1, 2024.

You will take on administrative tasks, such as carrying out orders and documenting the production steps.
You will support the maintenance of the general laboratory infrastructure, for example by replenishing consumables and keeping the workplaces in order.
What you bring to the table
You are studying materials science, engineering, natural sciences or a comparable field of study.
