That's our story.Make it your story.This position reports toTechnical SupportManagerYour role and responsibilitiesAs a Technical SupportSpecialist, you will focus on ABB’s state-of-the-art DistributedControl Systems (DCS) and Digital Solutions within the Energy,Process and Marine industries. You will join a global acting teamof specialists supporting ABB’s front-end organizations for allaspects of customer technical issue resolutions starting fromdesign phase up to long-term operational phase. As a productspecialist you will interact with Product Management, R&D andother subject matter experts to combine all technical expertisewith an interest in finding customer solutions as well asaddressing functionality aspects of our products. • Support ABB’s front-end organizationsin using ABB’s Process Automation DCS solutions with focus on ABBAbility System 800xA and Symphony Plus Melody
• Diagnose andtroubleshoot on technical issues - evaluation of problemdescriptions, analysis of log files, remote diagnostics ininstalled base, etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional globalteams, including product management, product development, and ABBfront-end organizations, to address complex technical issues andimprove products
• Build and maintain a technical infrastructurethat support you and global team in developing and testingsolutions, as well as reproducing product issues
• Build-up andmaintain technical competence in ABB’s DCS product portfolio
• Active exchange and competence development for local and globalsupport teamsQualifications for the roleBachelor’s Degree inElectrical or Automation Engineering, Software Engineering, or arelated fieldExperience in process automation, industrialcommunication (Ethernet, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Modbus TCP) and in ABBDCS products System 800xA and Symphony Plus Melody is considered anadvantagTravel readiness (up to 5%), domestic and internationalAhigh level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn aboutnew technologiesDemonstrating ownership, applying a problem-solvingsolution-oriented mindset, strong communication skillsFluentEnglish language skills.
