About the team

In this position, you will be part of our Chapter Software Engineering. The chapter represents all experts who deliver essential software development and engineering capabilities to all our product teams.

These experts are organized together to keep E.ON’s code base modern, secure and excellent.

The products you will be working on belong to our team Digital Solutions I Future Energy Home. This team develops and operates software to manage home energy devices such as photovoltaic, inverters, batteries, EV charging wall boxes, heat pumps and meters as a cloud-based solution for our central and local units so they can rollout those solutions to the end-customers.

We integrate with numerous vendors’ devices and apply centralized insights, analytics and control mechanisms for these devices.

meaningful & challenging -Your tasks

• Backend Software Development for our Future Energy Home product portfolio using Typescript & NodeJS based on AWS cloud
• Analyzing third party APIs, map data models and data concepts to our models for a proper integration
• Collaboration with solution architects, developers and other stakeholders to deliver the best experience to our end-customers and exchange about best practices
• Ensuring clean code and clean architectures and identify, communicate, plan and perform refactoring to advance the product
• Staying up to date with the latest developments in software technologies and frameworks as well as sharing and discussing ideas in our Community of Practice

authentic & ambitious -Your profile

• Several years of experience as a Backend Developer (f / m / d) using Typescript and the NodeJS / npm ecosystem, optionally React / React Native
• Experience for cloud-native software design and familiarity with common web technologies (HTTP, REST APIs, JSON etc.), as well as experience in AWS cloud technologies utilizing serverless services (e.

g. Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis, )

• Proven track record in utilizing DevOps tooling (e.g. GitLab, SonarQube, Cloudformation or Terraform or CDK)
• Proper communication skills and the ability to contribute to the Community of Practice and common guidelines
• Excellent communication skills in English
