Job Description :
As the Import / Export Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing and optimising our international shipping processes. You will lead a team of logistics professionals, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and fostering efficient and cost-effective import / export operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor the import / export team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Logistics Management : Oversee the entire import / export process, from order placement to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of goods.
- Compliance : Ensure all import / export activities comply with international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
- Documentation : Manage and verify all necessary documentation for international shipments, including bills of lading, invoices, and certificates of origin.
- Vendor Relations : Build and maintain strong relationships with international vendors, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
- Cost Control : Monitor and manage logistics costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.
- Problem Solving : Address and resolve any issues or delays in the import / export process, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Reporting : Generate detailed reports on import / export activities, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in import / export operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role, preferably in the fashion retail industry.Education : Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Skills : Strong leadership and team management abilities.Excellent knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.Proficiency in logistics software and systems SAP, Oracle, or similar).Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills.Effective communication and negotiation skills.Knowledge : In-depth understanding of global supply chain dynamics and trends in the fashion retail industry.What We Offer :
