If you really want to make a difference – make it with us

Siemens Mobility is a separately managed company of Siemens AG and has been a leading supplier in the field of mobility for over 160 years. Our core business includes rail vehicles, rail automation and electrification solutions, turnkey systems and related services. We have always been very innovative in making traveling faster, safer and more comfortable. Today, we need new solutions to new challenges such as climate change and rising populations worldwide. That's what drives us. That's why we shape mobility with passion, always being one step ahead. Through digitalization, we make infrastructures smart and create opportunities that get us from A to B sustainably and seamlessly. Our 38,200 employees are pioneers in mobility who help to keep the world moving.

What do you contribute?

  • From the quotation and concept phase to the end of the warranty, you will assume responsibility in terms of technology, quality and costs for the air conditioning of the driver's cabs of locomotives and control cars.
  • For this purpose, you integrate components (e.g. control software, thermal flow simulation, air conditioning unit) constructively and design them.
  • In doing so, you will prepare the supplier specification including all design documents and functional specifications.
  • By means of initial sample tests at the suppliers and tests in the vehicle (in the air-conditioning duct, on test tracks and in operation), you check whether the technical and normative requirements for the respective projects are met.
  • For this purpose, you will coordinate closely with all trades (e.g. driver's cab integration, body-in-white, circuit technology, cable laying) and thus ensure responsible and proper implementation in the respective projects.
  • You will work internationally with members of the engineering teams at our locations in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, the United States, India and others.

What do you bring along?

  • You have a degree (Master) in a technical field (e.g. mechatronics, mechanical engineering, vehicle construction or electrical engineering).
  • In addition, you have gained initial professional experience in engineering in the field of rail vehicles, automobiles, shipbuilding or aircraft construction and are therefore familiar with the mechanical and electrical integration of components.
  • You have advanced knowledge in air conditioning of rail vehicles, automobiles, aircraft or ships.
  • You have a very good command of written and spoken English. Good German language skills are a plus.
  • What do we offer you?
