What's the role?

We are looking for an open-minded and curious student (m / f / d) from the fields electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, control engineering, or comparable fields of study, who is ready to take on new challenges. The student should have experience using MATLAB / Simulink and have an interest in implementing and simulating dynamic system using existing System Object Libraries.

What does the role involve?

You will support the development team for mechatronics. The focus of the role is to simulate the output data of an IMU sensor in the MATLAB / Simulink environment. The output signal of the IMU is depended on the type of input excitation and the selected configuration in the software. The complex nature of the filtering structure within the IMU, requires knowledge in vibrations and signal processing. Testing and data processing know-how will be needed to compare the simulated values with sensor data, measured in a lab environment.

What you need is :

  • Studies in the fields of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, control engineering, embedded systems, or comparable fields of study
  • Experience with the toolset MATLAB / Simulink and System Object Libraries
  • Independent working style
  • Prior knowledge of control engineering, filter design and signal processing desirable
  • Prior knowledge of C / C++ programming desirable
  • Good English knowledge
