As an independent control function and part of the firm's second line of defense,pliance assesses the firm'spliance, regulatory and reputational risk; monitors forpliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils and monitors forpliance risks and breaches; and leads the firm's responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries. You'll be part of a team with members from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, such as law, accounting, sales, and trading. We look for those who possess sound judgment, curiosity, and are able to adapt to a changing regulatory landscape.

YOUR IMPACT

The role we are recruiting for is in the Regulatory Affairs team of thepliance function based in Frankfurt providing coverage for Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE (GSBE) and its European branches. This role will support the Chiefpliance Officer in maintaining thepliance program for the activity of GSBE and support with the corepliance function tasks as required by Mp and MaRisk. This covers a broad spectrum of responsibilities whichprise but are not limited to the below :

  • Notifications to the regulator(s)
  • Facilitate regulatory inquiries
  • Support the team in regulatory exams
  • Help conductpliance training
  • Support regular and ad hoc reporting toernance forums
  • Coordinate theernance documentation of GSBE
  • Support Project management and Board reporting

EXPERIENCE

  • University degree
  • First professionalpliance / financial services experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of the European regulatory environment for thepliance function ( ESMA GL, EBA GL, Mp, MaRisk etc.)
  • Good interpersonal skills and effective written / oralmunication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to exercise sound and balanced judgment
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Fluent in English and German.
