What you’ll do

As a (Senior) Cloud Service Developer (f / m / d), you will be working in an innovative cloud environment and be a part of a diverse team alongside experienced colleagues and early talents. You will evolve the SAP Business Technology Platform by driving end-to-end development of infrastructure services, which enable asynchronous communication patterns. These services are fundamental components of SAP and customer applications, as well as part of the event enablement strategy at SAP. If you are interested in cloud service development based on cutting-edge technology, such as Kubernetes, you will find an inspiring and professional environment for your learning and growth. You will cover the full agile development cycle and participate in :

requirements discussions and backlog refinements
design & implementation
deploying, supporting & maintaining the cloud services
researching and prototyping alternative approaches and new technologies

What you bring

You should have an open and team-oriented mindset and be willing to learn a lot of cool stuff. Likewise, we also want to learn from you : Share fresh ideas actively with us. Besides, you should bring a :

University degree in computer science or a related subject (such as business informatics, informatics, engineering) with 3+ years of experience in cloud-native development and cloud computing (K8S)

Deeper knowledge and implementation experience in Go or Python

Familiar with CI / CD and related tools and concepts

Willingness to drive complex technical tasks and smaller projects

Knowledge in building eventing / messaging-based solutions and a general interest in distributed systems is a plus

Flexibility and openness to deal with new technologies like AI

Fluent English language skills, both spoken and written; German language skills are beneficial
