My client is looking fora General Manager who will be responsible for overseeing theday-to-day operations of the leisure club, ensuring exceptionalguest experiences, maintaining high operational standards, anddriving revenue growth.

This role involvesstrategic planning, team leadership, and fostering a culture ofexcellence.

KeyResponsibilities

OperationalManagement

  • Ensureseamless daily operations, including facilities, activities, andcustomer service.
  • Implement and uphold healthand safety standards.
  • Oversee maintenance,cleanliness, and equipment functionality.

Financial and RevenueManagement

  • Prepareand manage budgets to meet financial targets.
  • Develop strategies to drive membership sales, retention,and ancillary revenue streams.
  • Monitorfinancial performance and provide regular reports tostakeholders.
  • TeamLeadership

  • Recruit,train, and manage a team of staff, ensuring alignment with theclub’s vision.
  • Conduct regular performancereviews and provide ongoing coaching.
  • Foster acollaborative and motivated work environment.
  • CustomerExperience

  • Maintainhigh levels of customer satisfaction by addressing feedbackproactively.
  • Develop and implement programs toattract and retain members.
  • Ensure premiumservice delivery in all aspects of the club.
  • Strategic Planning

  • Identify and implement growth opportunitiesfor the business.
  • Stay updated with industrytrends to enhance the club’s offerings andcompetitiveness.
  • Collaborate with marketingteams to promote the club effectively.
  • StakeholderEngagement

  • Liaisewith internal and external stakeholders, including vendors andcommunity partners.
  • Report to owners or boardmembers, providing insights into operations andperformance.
  • Qualifications andSkills

  • Provenexperience in leisure, hospitality, or fitness clubmanagement.
  • Strong financial acumen withexperience in budget management and P&Laccountability.
  • Leadership and team managementexpertise.
  • Exceptional customer service andcommunication skills.
  • Ability to develop andexecute strategic plans.
  • Knowledge of healthand safety regulations.
