Team Mission :

Marketplace owns the mobile and web platforms of GetYourGuide. We aim to deliver an amazing customer journey through great user interfaces and rigorous A / B testing. Our goal is to build an unbeatable travel marketplace and seamless booking experience for our users.

Were organized in crossfunctional mission teams which are composed of software engineers mobile engineers and data engineers along with product managers and designers.

You will :

Work in a crossfunctional mission team with engineers designers and analysts
Help to enable your mission team to iterate fast and learn about our customers by designing launching and iterating on A / B experiments
Maintain high quality standards and continuously improve our code base systems and processes
Design and develop efficient solutions that can continue to scale
Mentor other team members and be involved with hiring
Contribute to the teams roadmap and long term strategy
Work with Vue.js TypeScript SASS Node.js Java Spring Boot PHP MySQL PostgreSQL GraphQL Kafka Kubernetes

Who you are :

3 years of software development experience

Expertise in web application development using component based frameworks

High proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages : TypeScript Java

Experience designing architecture and deployment of web applications & services

Experience with writing tests

Ability to turn ideas into fast reliable and maintainable code

Positive proactive team player who is passionate about their craft

Customercentric prioritization and datadriven decision making

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Bonus points for :

Knowledge of frameworks and toolchains such as Node.js Vue.js or similar component based Frontend frameworks and libraries

Experience with A / B testing hypothesis building and eventbased analytics

Prior experience working in the ecommerce space

Prior experience in startup environments
