We are seeking a Project Manager to join the R&D team who will be responsible for overseeing projects in the business area of rail solutions, ensuring they align with business goals, and driving overall success. Their role is tactical and strategic and focuses on coordination, execution, and delivery.
Your Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Alignment
- Define together with key stakeholders program objectives, scope, and success criteria
- Ensure projects align with business goals and organizational strategy
- Assume Project responsibility from the idea to final product release
- Develop roadmaps and long-term plans for the execution of multiple projects
2. Project Coordination and Execution
Support the evaluation of customer requirements, create of technical concepts and project plansOversee corresponding projects and ensure smooth execution on agreed scope, time and budgetCreate and monitor project timelines and deliverables with key stakeholdersCoordinating technical advice to customers and project partners during the project phases through to market launch3. Stakeholder Management
Communicate project goals, status, risks, and progress to stakeholdersAct as the primary point of contact for stakeholdersFacilitate collaboration across interdisciplinary project teams, departments and external partnersClose coordination with Procurement, Quality and Production including the delivery of PPAP4. Financial and Resource Management
Ensure cost efficiency and financial sustainabilityOptimize resource allocation in each project and if applicable across multiple projectsDevelop and manage program budgets and resources5. Risk & Issue Management
Collaborate to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategiesAddress issues proactively and escalate then when necessaryEnsure compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices6. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Establish KPIs and track project performance with stakeholdersUse data-driven insights to measure success and to facilitate informed decisionsProvide regular progress reports to senior managementRequirements
6+ years of experience in an R&D environment including proven achievements in project managementBachelor’s degree in Engineering, MINT, Business Administration, Management or related fields.Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration is a plus.Certifications preferred but not required : PMP, PgMP, PRINCE, Lean Six Sigma.Experience in working with cross-functional teams and leading development projects.Background in stakeholder management, budgeting, and risk assessment.Benefits
