YourContribution

  • Developingnew business opportunities adjacent to SCHOTT s existingbusiness
  • Identification of strategic searchfields for new SCHOTT business opportunities, and analysis ofpotential markets and applications
  • Team leaderincl. budget responsibility in complex, international new businessprojects with demanding technologicalconcepts
  • Conceptual development (business / sales / implementation models) for selectedapplications
  • Drafting of purposeful businessplans for subsequent decision-making and operativeimplementation
  • Proactive cooperation withinternal functional units, potential customers and externalpartners
  • Transfer of business ideas into thebusiness units, and support in the development of strategies andconcepts for the marketing and sales of newproducts

YourProfile

  • Excellenthonors degree in business management / science / materials or businessadministration and engineering, preferably with PhD, alternativelyUniversity degree in a technical / natural science field with adoctorate and additional business training with proven businesstrack record
  • Strong business acumen paired withdeep technological understanding
  • Several yearsof international experience in business / new business developmentdepartment of a technology company or renowned business consultancyfirm with strong technological focus
  • Experiencein Semiconductor and / or Microelectronic, materials and valuechains
  • Excellent capability of translatingtechnology into business
  • Excellent analyticaland conceptual skills
  • Entrepreneurial approachwith strong commitment toteamwork
  • Comprehensive experience in thecompilation, evaluation and interpretation of marketanalyses
  • Experience in the monitoring ofmarkets / competitors and identification of necessaryactions
  • Knowledge of the technological trendsin markets that are relevant to SCHOTT and identification ofinnovative product ideas and businessareas
  • Proven track record of successfulcooperation in international projects as a member of across-functional teams, ideally project managementexperience
  • Fluent business English (written andspoken), knowledge of other languages and willingness to travelabroad.
