Responsibilities

Make an impact

  • You are responsible within the controls product family portfolio for directing the development of controls designs, safety documents, programming / setup and project documentation to meet customer specifications
  • You manage products throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver winning products
  • You orchestrate different internal stakeholders (Regions, Solutions Center, Innovation Management, Product Owners) to ensure the successful launch of products to the market
  • You perform market and competitor analysis, gather business and market requirements, and identify market and technology trends affecting the assigned products
  • You create and own product roadmaps, business cases, and go-to-market plans to ensure future competitiveness and customer benefits
  • Your main counterpart will be the Product Owner, who has the responsibility for the technical aspect of the product and both of you are collaborating with the Solution Manager who is focusing on the solution requirements per target industry vertical, e.g. Groceries. Overall your main interface will be Product Development team from our new Technology & Development organization. This way you all ensure the product development in time, scope, quality and cost based on clear requirements and specifications.

Application Requirements

What you need to succeed

  • You have a degree in engineering or computer sciences or equivalent, preferable with a focus on marketing and sales
  • You have advanced understanding of mechatronics, software and controls
  • You have experience with PLC programming (structured text), additional real-time hardware-in-loop testing is a plus
  • You bring proven track record in driving product initiatives from initial requirements to market success, preferable you have 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager within the intralogistics industry
  • You bring Customer Business Process expertise, but also experience with customer and market analysis
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to deal with different levels of stakeholders including executive level
  • Strong proficiency in English and German
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 20-30%) to our Swisslog offices and customer sites
