System Engineer Infrastructure Design & Operations (f/m/d)

Responsibilities:

• Planning, design, and operation of modern IT network and infrastructure components (LAN, WLAN, WAN, firewalls – on-premises & cloud-based)

• Administration and further development of global network architectures in a complex, international IT environment

• Participation in international IT projects – from technical conception and administrative support to operational implementation

• Ensuring network availability and security through monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization

• Close collaboration with internal departments and external partners to implement infrastructure projects

• Contribution to the definition and implementation of global IT standards as well as participation in corporate-wide committees (e.g. security policies, network structures)

• Documentation and continuous improvement of deployed systems and processes

Qualifications:

• Several years of practical experience in the design, operation, and optimization of complex network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, WLAN)

• In-depth technical knowledge of IP networks, switching (L2/L3), VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)

• Hands-on experience with Azure networking, WAN acceleration, and SD-WAN

• Experience working with Cisco technologies and firewalls (e.g. Azure, CATO)

• Good knowledge of infrastructure core services such as DNS, DHCP, and ideally NTP

• Structured, self-reliant working style and a high level of customer orientation

• Willingness to travel internationally and enthusiasm for working in intercultural teams

• Excellent English and good German skills (at least C1) in both spoken and written form
