About the Role

As a Business Developer, your main task will be to actively contribute to increasing the company’s revenue based on a development plan set by the Country Manager, to whom you will report directly. You’ll join a team dedicated to identifying profitable business opportunities and establishing long-term partnerships with B2B partners for our consumer finance solutions. You’ll support the Country Manager in representing the company in your market.

You will play a crucial role in three key areas : building brand awareness, establishing strategic partnerships, and ensuring the successful implementation of our solutions with partners. You will be expected to carry out the following tasks according to local policies and procedures :

  • Build and manage the pipeline and CRM;
  • Identify companies in specific industries, arrange and conduct meetings with their representatives (Finance Directors, Payment Managers, Marketing Managers, Heads of Offerings, E-commerce / Retail Managers, CEOs, etc.);
  • Formalize product / offer presentations with input from central sales and technical contacts;
  • Carry out commercial follow-ups, including updating the CRM;
  • Continuously update the CRM with customer information, contacts, business opportunities, and progress status;
  • Attend events and represent the company at relevant webinars, partner events, product training sessions, etc.;
  • Conduct work according to risk and compliance procedures;
  • Support customers with onboarding, launch, and project execution;
  • Assist existing customers / partners in achieving success and ensuring their satisfaction;
  • Identify strategic product partnerships in the market and drive the adaptation or continuous improvement of our solutions for international / local markets.

You will be responsible for developing and managing the business development and sales activities for the company's BNPL solutions, working closely with the central sales team in France and the local BNP Paribas teams.

What You Need to Bring

To successfully develop our client’s split payment solutions, we expect the Senior Business Developer to have :

  • A university degree;
  • Proven business development or sales experience in digital transformation, e-commerce, payment solutions, or similar fields within an international context;
  • Strong commercial, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as leadership and communication abilities;
  • A proactive, customer-focused, and results-driven approach;
  • Excellent problem-solving and sales skills;
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Strong business acumen;
  • Attention to detail and persuasiveness;
  • Ability to build and activate networks;
  • Service-oriented mindset and expertise in customer relationships / satisfaction;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce;
  • Fluent German and English skills (French is a plus).
  • This role requires frequent travel within the country and to France (Bordeaux and Paris).
