About therole
We are looking for a Director of Product Management , whowill lead the product management discipline within our hit game,June’s Journey, to ensure the long-term vision and strategy aretangible through our new and existing product features. TheDirector of Product Management will make crucial product decisionsand lead Product Managers to drive product roadmaps of ourmarket-leading game and report directly to the Game Director. - You will be adriving force in our ambition to continuously improve June’sJourney as a sustainably profitable business delivering value toour players.
- You will decide on and championthe next iteration of product improvements that will allow June’sJourney to flourish for the next decade.
- Workon strategic initiatives, together with the rest of the Gamesleadership team, and push our progress toward our vision ofbecoming an entertainmentplatform.
Leading theProduct ManagementDiscipline
You will bethe decision maker and point person for everything product-relatedwithin the game.Be accountable for theprioritized backlog and product roadmap across all parts of thegame to allow stakeholder alignment.Connectthe plans we are executing and actions we are taking to the overallcompany goals by being an active contributor to the forecastingprocess.Help conduct Player and Marketresearch in order to understand and represent the voice of ourcurrent players as well as our soon-to-beplayers.Foster a culture of A / B testing,feature validation, and data-drivendecision-making.Ensure that Product learningsand insights are shared and applied across theorganization.Collaborate with the leadershipof the game to ensure that we work collaboratively acrossdisciplines and create a game that delights our players and growsthe business.Act as an ambassador of theProduct Management discipline, inside and outside ofWooga.Leading thePeople
Adopt a coachingstyle and be able to grow the Product Managers ensuring they becomeindustry-leading product managers who are independent, accountable,collaborative, and proactive.Your goal is tocreate an environment where the entire team can do the best work oftheir careers. Excellentleadership and coaching skills with the willingness to teach andthe ability to transform qualitative and quantitative feedback intoactionable tasks.Must have previous experienceof running large scale games as a service, with an emphasis onevents and live operations.A strongunderstanding of past and current mobile F2P monetisationmechanics, the overall casual market, and ideas about where theindustry is headed.Must have excellentstakeholder management and collaboration skills to work acrossother disciplines and departments within the game and company, andultimately deliver further success for thegame.Pleasenote : Research has shown that some under-representedgroups in the gaming industry (e.g., women) tend to apply only ifthey meet every single requirement.
