Application Scientist (m/w/d)
As Application scientist, you :
- will contributes to profitable and sustainable business growth by identifying new product & application requirements in the industry to set new developmental directions.
- will keep abreast of the latest trend on new developmental and technological changes in the industry, pro-actively initiate discussion and enter project ideas.
- will lead and support large, potentially cross functional (application) development projects including battery applications
- will supports global CSO team with in-depth technical knowledge
- will provide product & application training to customers, agents, distributors, and internal colleagues on request
- work closely together with your direct T&S team colleagues and with many colleagues from different functions in the organization
- updates & maintains technical documentation by technical notes and document innovative key findings in patent applications and publications
To accomplish this role, you possess :
- a master’s degree or preferably PhD in a technical field, like Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry or Chemistry.
- minimum of 5-10 years’ working experience in polymer synthesis, or application development, as e.g., battery or adhesive applications
- fluency in English (in written and verbal form).
- working experience in the battery field
- profound knowledge in IP and IP strategy.
- personal initiative as well as technology and business analysis required.
- Excellent team player with good communication and problem-solving skills leadership skills to manage and facilitate cross functional projects
- the ability to manage the relation with a large variety of (groups of) stakeholders, also in upper management, on strategic level and the ability to manage opposite interests.
- own initiative to propose projects and programs (define the scope and plan of projects and programs and manage uncertainties and expectations).
- a result and value-driven mindset with strong external focus.
- highly developed communication skills and ability to present internally as well as externally
