Caspar Health was founded in 2016 and is setting new standards for the rehabilitation market. With new technologies and our close partnership with rehabilitation clinics, patients get access to the most effective digital rehabilitation with concurrent personal care - independent of time and location.

With Caspar Health, therapists create and share therapy plans with their patients, and both parties interact with each other remotely.

We are looking for a highly motivated (Senior) Backend Engineer (all genders) to join our team in Berlin. It is an exciting time to work at Caspar because you will be the one designing how the system will work in the future.

Your Challenges

You will develop new functionality and continuously improve the Caspar Health applications

You will collaborate closely with colleagues from Product Management, UX, QA, Analytics, DevOps, and Architecture disciplines to improve teamwork and exchange of knowledge

You will use your field of expertise to improve development processes

You will contribute to best practices in code quality, test automation, APIs, CI / CD, and Software architecture

Your profile

You bring at least three years of experience working with backend technologies

You are an expert using Ruby on Rails in production

You have broad experience with single page application frameworks, preferably React.js, having React Native and some Angular experience is a plus.

You know SQL very well

You are focussed on scalability, testability, and maintainability of the deliverables

You bring a hands-on mentality, and enjoy trying and learning new things

You are a team-player

You are a good communicator

You have solid English skills

In a perfect world, you additionally have experience with :

TypeScript, React Native

Container technologies (Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes)

AWS or some other cloud provider

PostgreSQL

NoSQL databases
