3PL Fulfillment Specialist , AMXL

Operations is the heart and soul of everything Amazon does. It is thanks to effective operations that items are processed and dispatched to our customers on time.

As a 3PL Specialist or External Fulfillment Specialist you will be required to bridge the gap between Amazon Operations and that of the 3PL fulfillment centre.

As a 3pl Support Specialist you will be the point of contact for all Amazon departments who may have to contact the 3pl with queries from bin checks to transportation issues.

Key job responsibilities

• Measure and monitor workflows, track onsite performance, of third party logistics (3PL)
• Use data analysis to identify ways to optimize safety, quality and productivity
• Resolution of operational problems in the flows to / from external service providers
• Resolution of problems that may require working onsite as a supervisor or auditor of the operations
• Acting as a point of contact through the communication between Operations and related partners, such as Supply Chain, Retail and Transportation teams.

A day in the life

You will have the opportunity to deal with daily tasks related to the 3PL's performance and will also have the chance to work on ad-hoc projects, new implementations and to draft ideas leading to optimization and streamlining.

This will often require deep dive of the issue and understanding root cause then working out best solution for resolution be it by using Amazon systems or by contacting the 3pl and asking them to support.

Effective communication is essential and this can be at all levels within Amazon and the 3pl organization. This will at times include carrying out joint projects and investigations as well as carrying out training in Amazon process and use of Amazon tools.

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns.

What sets this service apart from others is the extra level of customer care. Not only do we deliver large items, but we unpack, assemble and install them, and take away old items where needed.

With a focus on safety, productivity and innovation, we’re changing the way customers buy and receive large goods for the better.

We have ambitious plans to expand our specialist fulfilment centres and delivery stations across the UK and Europe. While those of us who work in delivery stations will do some night shifts, most of us work during the day.

Our team is made up of people across operations, supply chain, business intelligence and programme management, and everyone plays a crucial role in growing this part of the business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced proficiency in German in both written and verbal communication (C1 Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR)
• Relevant experience working with data analytics and using these metrics to identify problems
• Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience of stakeholder management including building and maintaining professional relationships
• Experience in an operational environment, such as logistics, retail, hospitality, or customer service
• Upper intermediate proficiency in English
