Senior Fullstack Engineer (Rails, React)

Tasks As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at 8returns, you’ll be part of a small, agile team focused on building a product that helps online retailers automate and optimize their returns process. We’re tackling a massive global problem, as 10 billion pounds of returns end up in landfills every year. You’ll play a key role in building and scaling our platform, using Ruby on Rails and React , and working with technologies like Postgres , Heroku , and AWS . You’ll be responsible for developing new features, improving existing ones, and ensuring that our platform is highly performant and scalable. You will work on the frontend (creating intuitive user interfaces with React) and the backend (designing and building APIs and integrating with external systems using Ruby on Rails). You’ll have significant ownership over product areas and work closely with other developers to ship high-quality code. We value problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity. • Experience : 3+ years of experience developing high-performance web applications. If you’re more frontend-focused , experience with React is a big plus. If you’re more backend-focused , strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails and experience designing maintainable systems and APIs is exactly what we’re looking for.
• You have broad experience with web technologies and are comfortable working across the stack.
• Ability to think creatively and critically, especially when working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
• You can work autonomously and bring your own perspective, identifying when to raise red flags or suggest different approaches.
• Bonus points if you have experience with Postgres , AWS , or Heroku , but willingness to learn is just as important.
