The main focus at the Luxembourg location in Rodange is developing the safety-related control system for the stage machinery "Computer-Aided Theatre" (C A T), which uses state-of-the-art technology to control the upper stage and lower stage machinery in more than 200 venues worldwide.

Independently organise your installation project and perform configuration, commissioning, acceptance testing, and training of our C A T stage control systems that control entertainment power flying systems and stage machinery, including lifts, turntables, stage wagons, and other movables on stage.
TASK DESCRIPTION
The Project Engineer at Waagner-Biro Stage Systems Luxembourg is responsible for designing, preparation and configuration of the control system.
Your tasks include :
- On-site commissioning of the control system.
- Collaboration in the preparation of commissioning schedules in coordination with the project manager, the customer, partner companies and subcontractors.
- Ongoing coordination while commissioning with site managers, customers, partner companies and subcontractors.
- Preparing of all documentation of commissioning and system features
- Functional test of the software in the course of commissioning.
- Support during acceptance by the expert.
- Ensure quality of technical solutions in accordance with the contract and technical specification.
- Final acceptance and handover of the project to the customer.
- Processing of any defects during the project handover.
- Support of the service department in the maintenance of the system after handover to the customer.
- Active support of quality management (respecting and applying ISO9001 and ISO14001).
- Ensuring the implementation of occupational safety measures based on the legal and normative (ISO 45001) principles in the activities in the project.
- Support in the continuous optimization of the processes necessary for commissioning.
- Training theater staff
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- You hold a degree in electrical engineering, automation, or technical informatics. Career starters are welcome. Alternatively, you have completed vocational training in this field and have several years of professional experience in a similar position.
- You are enthusiastic about the design and commissioning of drive systems and the associated control and switchgear systems.
You can read, improve and suitably sketch the associated circuit diagrams.
- A comprehensive interest in the mechanical solutions found and their possible integration into the control system is necessary.
- Any knowledge of servo drives, inverters, digital interfaces, common programming languages, PLC programming or CAD programmes is very welcome.
- Knowledge of functional safety standards as well as hazard and risk assessment processes is an asset.
- You are generally familiar with project management methods and have initial experience in their application.
- You are proficient in the usual office and project management software and can confidently organise and lead video conferences.
- You have strong intercultural competences.
- You understand target orientated working methods and cost management.
- You have strong communication skills, and you are a team player.
- You have a high degree of self-motivation and hands-on mentality.
- You are fluent in English and French or English and German, both written and spoken.
