As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Kyndryl, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge AI software solutions. Your work will be allocated directly to high-impact sales pursuits and active AI client projects. You will play a critical role in demonstrating the value of our technology, delivering code that solves complex problems, and applying strong software design principles to ensure our innovations are scalable and reliable.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the standardized toolsets that enable agents within state-of-the-art agentic frameworks to interact with external systems. Using Python and core AI frameworks, you will architect the solution, test the code, and implement the MCP (Model Context Protocol), APIs, and message brokers required for microservice integration. You will ensure that all implemented components are appropriately documented, unit-tested, and deployed via modern CI / CD and containerization pipelines.

As a valued member of our team, you will provide work estimates for assigned development work and guide features, functional objectives, or technologies being built for interested parties. You will have the freedom to drive innovation, utilizing your expertise in rapid prototyping to deliver value fast, while using your deep engineering knowledge to ensure those prototypes can scale into enterprise-grade solutions. Required Technical and Professional Experience

7+ years of experience working as a software engineer with a focus on AI and rapid prototyping

Expert coding skills in Python with a deep understanding of software design patterns, debugging, and testing methodologies

Proven expertise in core AI technologies and building tooling for state-of-the-art agentic frameworks

Demonstrated experience with API development, Message Brokers (, Kafka, RabbitMQ), and Microservices integration

Knowledge of architecture design regarding modern agent-based systems (including MCP implementation)

Experience with modern DevOps practices, version control (Git), and containerization (Docker & Kubernetes)

Ability to translate complex functional requirements into scalable, reliable software components

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Experience in a client-facing role, specifically supporting sales pursuits or technical consulting

Certification in one or more of the hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, and Google GCP) - otherwise, you can obtain certifications with Kyndryl

Familiarity with Large Language Model (LLM) orchestration and vector database integrations
