Your Role

• Develop & Enhance Data Landscape: As part of the Data Analytics team, you will develop and continuously improve our data infrastructure and landscape.
• Design Data Pipelines: Design and implement new data ingestion and transformation pipelines, while also supporting and optimizing the existing data pipeline infrastructure.
• Integrate New Data Sources: Manage the integration and onboarding of new data sources into our platform, and provide ongoing support to ensure these data pipelines run smoothly.
• Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement ideas for the continuous improvement of our data environment, ensuring we use best practices and modern approaches.
• Data Preparation: Model and prepare data to meet analysis and visualization requirements, working closely with data analysts to ensure the data is ready and accessible for reporting needs.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with various departments to understand data needs and help streamline business processes through data solutions, ensuring that our data initiatives provide real value across the organization.

Your Profile

• Education: Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience: Professional experience as a Data Engineer or as a software engineer working with Python.
• Cloud Data Pipelines: Hands-on experience setting up scalable data pipelines in cloud environments (preferably Microsoft Azure).
• Databricks & Azure Data Factory: Experience with the Databricks platform and Azure Data Factory (or Azure Synapse) is a strong plus.
• Data Analysis & Modeling: Experience in data analysis and data modeling in both relational databases and modern data storage systems (e.g. data lakes or NoSQL).
• Programming Skills: Proficient in Python and SQL. Familiarity with Apache Spark/PySpark for big data processing is a plus.
• Tools & Practices: Comfortable with modern data engineering tools and practices – for example, Azure DevOps for CI/CD, dbt for data transformations, working in an agile development process.
• Interest in AI/ML: Enthusiasm or interest in AI and machine learning methods is a plus (you'll have opportunities to explore these, though it's not a core requirement).
• Communication: Fluent in English (written and spoken) is required. German language skills are a bonus.
