Job Description

Take a pivotal role in R&D Safety Risk Engineering and become part of a highly motivated and progressive team pushing the envelope of state-of-the-art risk management integrated embedded in model-based systems engineering methods.

Your role

  • You will become part of the R&D Safety Risk Engineering organization of the Philips Hospital Patient Monitoring business
  • As we consider Safety Risk Management as discipline embedded seamlessly into our overall systems engineering workflow, you will work closely with other roles like systems engineers and subject matter experts from the different domains along the development process.

You're the right fit if

  • You hold a bachelor’s (or equivalent educational background) in a relevant area such as Systems Engineering, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Software Development, Informatics…)
  • You have acquired 3+ years of experience in medical product development
  • You have acquired 1+ years of experience in safety risk management for active medical devices preferably for software intense embedded systems
  • You have the knowledge of regulations related to risk management and the development of safe hardware and software products including ISO14971, FDA Regulations 21CFR 820, EU MDR, IEC 60601-1, IEC 62304, and IEC 62366-1
  • You have a solid Risk Analysis Methodology know-how (e.g., FMEA, FTA, PHA)
  • You have an understanding of Safety risk Engineering as an integrated discipline in a system engineering workflow
  • You have strong communication and moderation skills and the ability to lead discussions with cross-disciplinary teams
  • You are able to communicate in both German and English languages (verbal and written proficiency).

    We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

    This role is an office role.
