Responsibilities & Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Clearance

Current U.S. TOP SECRET clearance required (T5 Investigation). (Elevated / Privileged Access).

Education

• Bachelor of Science / Arts Degree in Engineering or Computer Science OR

Associates degree plus seven (7) years of specialized experience

Experience

Four (4) years of experience using and maintaining Network Firewalls WEB Proxy and / or IDS / IPS

devices.

Two (2) years of experience with any enterprise network routing / switching device (manufacturer non- specific);

Two (2) years direct experience with U.S. military command and control or commercial LAN / WAN communication systems.

Certification

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Computer Network Defense Administrator protects RCC E networks by operating and maintaining firewalls IPS / IDS proxies VPN systems and security controls to ensure secure compliant and uninterrupted DoDIN A operations.

Overview

The Computer Network Defense Administrator (CNDA) provides TierIII administration and sustainment of the U.S. Army Network and Cyber Operations perimeter and internal cyberdefense stackfirewalls IPS / IDS web proxies VPNs and access control lists (ACLs)to protect and assure the availability of DoDINA services across NIPRNET / SIPRNET and other supported enclaves. The CNDA executes IAVAdriven updates enforces DISA STIG configurations and implements authorized service interruptions (ASIs) and configuration changes without unapproved disruption to operations.
