Responsibilities
We are looking for a Payroll Lead to oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing, with a primary focus on the German payroll, while also being responsible for the broader EMEA region. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience handling payroll for a global or multi-entity organization.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for Germany as the primary focus, while also managing payroll for multiple EMEA countries, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, labor laws, and company policies in all relevant regions
- Partner with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to optimize payroll operations
- Manage payroll reporting, audits, and reconciliations, addressing any discrepancies
- Drive process improvements and implement automation to enhance payroll efficiency
- Handle escalations related to payroll inquiries from employees and stakeholders
- Support benefits and compensation-related payroll activities, including bonuses and Share-based compensation
- Oversee payroll-related topics for international assignments, including shadow payrolls
- Contribute creative ideas and energy to help the team continuously improve and stay ahead of industry trends and best practices
Requirements
Degree in Business Administration, HR, Finance, or a related field5+ years in payroll processing, with at least 2 years in a senior / leadership roleExperience with German payroll is a must, experience with other EMEA countries is a plusStrong understanding of payroll regulations, taxation, and complianceProficiency in payroll systems (SAP is a plus)Strong Excel skills are required to ensure efficient handling of complex data and reportsDetail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyFluency in German and English are mandatoryWhat we offer
