Our client is looking to hire a Managing Director(MD) to operate one of their Software businesses and potentially avertical!

This position provides criticaloperational leadership to a company and potentially a portfolio ofcompanies within a growing software vertical. As leader and managerof a Business Unit, you will be responsible for developing andimplementing the business’s strategic plan spanning sales, R&D,customer service and professional services. Along with the rest ofthe Business Unit leadership team, the MD must identify, define,and execute the strategies required to achieve your growth plansand operating objectives with a focus on improving operationalexcellence.

What your day will looklike :

Sales :

  • Drivethe sales team to increase new customer acquisitions and expandsales to existing clients
  • Develop and maintaincompetitive intelligence programs, generating industry trendreports to inform new feature and productdevelopment

Customer Care / CustomerSuccess :

  • Execute an effective,long-term customer success program forclients
  • Implement and maintain client supportinitiatives
  • Facilitate both in-house and clienttraining sessions
  • Monitor and document CustomerSuccess metrics, including program usage, satisfaction levels,ticket throughput, and resolution
  • Coordinatethe administration of annual customer satisfaction surveys andother communication tools
  • Researchand Development :

  • Ensure clear productroadmaps are established, followed, and adapted to meet marketneeds
  • Balance investment in R&D withmaintenance efforts to maximize new customer growth and retainexisting clients while maintaining efficient Customer Care andR&D operations
  • Track Product Managerprioritization of R&D tasks, ensuring they are entered into thecorporate system and executed by softwaredevelopers
  • Facilitate the growth of ProductManagers by aligning their activities with jobdescriptions
  • FinancialManagement :

  • Review with SeniorManagement and the team annual, quarterly, and monthly revenueresults / forecasts and costs
  • Participate in thedevelopment of internal department policies and programs to supportquality and growth
  • Aboutyou :

  • A natural ability to leadperformance and financial health in abusiness
  • Bring a proven entrepreneurial spiritand pace-setter traits
  • Bachelor’s degree orequivalent, preferably in a technical or business discipline, MBA,or advanced degree, a plus
  • 10+ years of directcross-functional team management experience and P&Lmanagement
  • 5+ years of executive-levelexperience in a vertical market softwarecompany
  • Experience working in either a Softwareor Technology business as a COO, Managing Director orCEO
  • Broad financial acumen across theorganization (e.g., managing a P&L, understanding financialdocuments, business intelligence, FP&A processes,etc.)
  • Ability to structure, analyze, and solvecomplex business problems, as well as deliver impact againstconcrete business goals
  • Excellent Leadership,communication, and organizationalskills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solvingskills
  • A 'roll up the sleeves' attitude towardsproblem-solving
  • Goal-oriented with comfort insetting measurable goals for others andhim / herself
  • Comfortable working independentlyas well as in a team
  • Ability and willingness tocreate change, passion for continuousimprovement
  • 30% travel required for internaland customer meetings
  • At least a professionallevel of German and English, both written and verbal, isessential
  • Must be legally authorized to work inGermany
