Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a visionary Lead Cloud Platform Engineer (m / f / d) to join our team and shape the future of our Jedox Cloud Platform. In this role, you will build and lead a team of talented engineers, ensuring that our platform meets the current and future needs of our business. You will drive the development, implementation, and management of our platform's roadmap while collaborating across the entire organization to support strategic priorities.

  • Provide direction to cloud platform engineers, including mentoring, making technical decisions, and conducting code reviews
  • Build and drive the implementation of the team's roadmap
  • Collaborate with Jedox Development, Product Management, and other departments to support the execution of product-related priorities
  • Advocate for adopting new technologies and applying best practices in cloud to meet security standards and compliance regulations
  • Implement automation to reduce operational overhead and enable self-service capabilities for Jedox customers
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to track the health of cloud resources and optimize configurations for cost and performance
  • Ensure that technical documentation for system architecture and APIs is comprehensive and always up-to-date
  • Foster innovation, creativity, and teamwork among a cross-functional, multi-project, and multi-discipline team
  • Be passionate about finding solutions to difficult problems

Your Profile

  • 7+ years of experience overall, with 5+ years in SaaS organizations managing cloud-native solutions for both public and private cloud
  • Previous experience in organizing developers as a Senior Platform Engineer, Senior Developer, Technical Lead, or similar role
  • Excellent understanding of programming languages, including Golang, Python, PHP, etc.
  • Good knowledge of cloud services (Azure preferred), Kubernetes (AKS preferred), and Helm
  • Know-how to implement solutions for scale-to-zero (hibernation, sleep mode, etc.) and GitOps
  • Hands-on experience with trending technologies like ArgoCD, GitHub, Crossplane, Keda, etc.
  • Active contributor to Cloud Architecture topics and implementer of architectural enhancements
  • Highly motivated to research and self-study to keep technical, business, and leadership skills relevant
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent command of English
  • Nice to have :

  • Experience with Observability toolsets such as Loki, Grafana, Honeycomb, Thanos
  • Ability to plan technical tasks in sprints
  • Knowledge of DR, Storage (NetApp), Networking, Load balancers, etc
  • Proficiency in German
