Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to act as a key bridge between business and technical teams for the Veeva Network / VOD integration within the pharmaceutical sector. The role involves gathering, documenting, and refining business requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in commercial business processes, data management, and integration strategies, ensuring seamless operations between platforms.

What you will be doing :

  • Conduct workshops and interviews with stakeholders to capture business needs.
  • Translate and simplify business requirements, identifying deployment gaps and refining incoming demands.
  • Define and document functional specifications, business workflows, and interface requirements.
  • Support backlog refinement and prioritization in an Agile / SCRUM environment.
  • Define and oversee data cleansing, matching, and migration activities for integration.
  • Act as a liaison between business and IT teams, ensuring smooth interaction.
  • Facilitate integration design discussions and ensure proper interface specification alignment.
  • Validate business processes and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Contribute to test case creation, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Support updating training materials and deployment documentation.
  • Ensure that Software Life Cycle (SLC) documentation is aligned with product lifecycle requirements.
  • Contribute to compliance with pharma industry standards and best practices.
  • Act as First Point of Contact (FPOC) between linked initiatives.
  • Facilitate timeline and milestone alignment across stakeholders.
  • Support business strategy discussions and provide subject matter expertise (SME) in decision-making.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or SME in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Strong expertise in Veeva Network / VOD integrations and commercial business processes.
  • Specialized knowledge in a commercial business context.
  • Experience in data management, including cleansing, matching, and migration.
  • Proficiency in functional specification documentation, workflow design, and interface specification.
  • Familiarity with SCRUM / Agile methodologies and backlog refinement.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validation activities.
