Senior Service Transition Engineer Opportunity is required for an exciting fully remote opportunity, working with a Managed IT Services and Technology Solutions company.

The Service Transition Engineer is responsible for ensuring the effective transition from the project lifecycle to service delivery for a portfolio of customers. Working closely with Project Delivery and Managed Service teams, you will onboard the Customer and will deliver against project milestones / outcomes, quality standards and customer satisfaction measures.

Responsibilities :

  • Be accountable for the transition between Project Delivery and Service Operations for your allocated Customers.
  • Support the Project Manager by identifying and communicating risks relating to your customer onboarding and the transition of new IT services
  • Technical Quality Assurance : Making sure all the relevant project tasks have been completed to a high standard by completing Validation Testing procedures.
  • Technical Early Life Support : Supporting the clinical go-live of the systems which will require on-site presence during the installation phase of a project and during the clinical go live phases.
  • Ensuring the Service and Maintenance teams have the necessary information ready to start supporting the customer
  • Reporting on agreed Service Transition metrics against the project progress and deliverables.
  • Ensure all the necessary client systems are documented and ready for service transition

Essential Skills

  • Experience of working with a managed services provider
  • Excellent multi-lingual written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders. Able to understand and communicate complex and conceptual ideas effectively to all levels.
  • A clear understanding of the ITIL framework and an ability to apply ITIL principles within an IT service management environment.
  • Strong general IT technology experience including Windows Server, VMware, storage and networking, Windows AD, Citrix and virtual desktop technologies.
  • Experience with printers, group policies and troubleshooting VDA environments.
  • Experience with Virtualisation technologies, storage and compute (HCI) environments as well as networking fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, VLAN’s.
