The Business Development Manager - Customers is a sales and transportation professional, who manages the performance of the assigned field sales teams closing deals with new customers, promoting transportation services and solutions and negotiating contracts. The role is focused on hands-on management and execution of Field Sales, aiming to establish and expand the company’s base of Direct Customers.
The manager will be responsible for acquiring new business, ensuring Sales targets of the department are met or exceeded and the existing customer base is retained and growing in yield.
Business Development Manager - Customers
Responsibilities :
- Identifies, qualifies, and secures business opportunities by coordinating business generation activities, while developing customized targeted sales strategies
- Participates in business planning, forecasting and priority setting in support of the top management objectives
- Implements new processes and practices to achieve greater productivity and efficiency
- Manages, coaches and supports the team in their daily activities and challenges, disseminating advanced commercial skills and techniques
- Conducts executive sales with high profile companies and individuals
- Ensures all sales visits, calls and efforts of the teams are synopsized and reported on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction- maintain close contact with all customers– including follow up on concerns or other issues.
- Communicates effectively with customers, shippers, and receivers regarding potential service delivery complications
Qualifications :
5+ years of experience in managing Field Sales and Key Account ManagementNatural leader of people with excellent managerial and motivational skillsStrong entrepreneurial skills and a natural ability to spot opportunities for revenue generationAbility to adapt well to and get energized by changeStrong numerical & analytical skills and attention to detailStrong communication and negotiation skills.Driver’s licenseEducational background :
University degree in Management / Economy / Marketing or equivalent
Language & IT :
