Head of Family Office

Our clients, two highly successful entrepreneurs, are looking for a family officer to build up a lean family office and set up both the operational and investment structures.

They are looking for a candidate with at least 5 years of professional experience and a successful track record in asset management, ideally with a family office The family office will be entrepreneurial, i.e. the asset allocation will have an opportunity-driven risk profile and take advantage of capital market opportunities by recognizing long-term trends and growth opportunities at an early stage. The incumbent must be familiar with this investment style, be able to act accordingly and have a passion for it.

The family office can draw on administrative resources within the family owned company and tax and legal can be outsourced, so that it will start with one person.

The family office is located in Munich.

Main tasks :

Responsibility for the holistic investment of assets.
Evaluation of investment opportunities and implementation of investment strategies. Focus on precise analysis and structured decision-making. Proactive contribution of own views to the discussion with the owners.
Strategic distribution of investments and ongoing monitoring / adjustment of investments
Construction of an ETF portfolio or / and allocation of asset management mandates; funds selection in private markets
Development of an investment pipeline
Building a top-class network in relevant asset classes
Identifying tax and legal aspects of the investments
Setting up a digital reporting system
Management of external service providers and consultants

Requirements :

In-depth knowledge and an excellent track record in private and stock markets

Very structured thinking and working

Strong analytical skills and technological affinity

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Experience with asset management software

Familiarity with standard reporting systems and providers

University degree in economics, natural sciences or a related field. Additional qualifications (e.g. CAIA, CFA) are desirable.

Personality :

Independent, precise, solution-oriented, with a passion for financial analysis.

In addition to a high level of professional competence and experience, the fundamental prerequisite for being able to successfully perform the position is above all the appropriate personality and value orientation, which are indispensable for working for a family. Trustworthiness, integrity, loyalty and discretion are essential basic requirements.
