Accountant (all genders)

We are looking for a full-time permanent Accountant (all genders) to start as soon as possible. We live remote-first but you have the freedom to choose whether you want to work hybrid or completely on-site due to your proximity to one of our locations.


At Contabo we believe that sustainable growth is only possible with a strong financial foundation. As an Accountant you will be part of our international Finance team and ensure that our numbers are not only accurate but also provide the basis for sound business decisions.

In this role you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks and the accurate recording of all business transactions. You will support monthly quarterly and annual financial closings review and post invoices resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with statutory addition you will collaborate closely with colleagues across other finance areas and help improve and streamline internal processes.

In short: With your expertise you will ensure that our finance operations run smoothly making a vital contribution to Contabos continued international growth.

Your personality paired with:

Must-haves

• Completed commercial training or degree with a focus on Finance/Accounting

• Several years of professional experience in accounting or financial reporting

• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB)

• Proficiency with common accounting systems like Microsoft D365 and MS Office (especially Excel)

• Experience in managing and processing approval workflows

• Excellent command of German & English written and spoken

Should-haves

• Experience working in an international environment

• Familiarity with ERP or financial systems such as Microsoft D365 SAP DATEV or similar solutions

• Strong analytical thinking structured and reliable way of working
