The Job
The Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing the full scope of payroll processes across the EMEA region in collaboration with external payroll providers, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees. This role involves close collaboration with HR and IS&T departments on payroll-related matters and applications, as well as acting as an administrator for local payroll providers. It is a hybrid position that requires a minimum of two days of presence in the Ratingen (Germany) office per week.
Key Responsibilities :
Process day-to-day payroll activitiesExport and verify information from SAP for employee paymentsCoordinate payroll matters with local payroll providersReview the payroll summary / GL reports and post them in SAPPrepare account reconciliations and audit transactional data monthlyPost payroll journal entries and perform year-end activitiesReconcile government remittance accountsWork with HR on benefit changes and leaves of absenceProvide positive communication with employees to resolve payroll queriesGenerate various reports for internal groupsAssist EMEA Operations Manager with special projects as neededThe Profile
Job Requirements :
Proficiency in payroll processing for multiple EMEA countries, especially Germany, UK, France and the NetherlandsKnowledge of basic accounting practices and proceduresSelf-motivated and detail-oriented with a focus on accuracyUnderstanding of payroll principles, practices, regulations, and proceduresKnowledge of SOX controls within the Payroll processAbility to work independently and resolve issues timelyStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and multitask on competing prioritiesMust be a team player with a high level of accountabilityStrong PC skills, including proficiency in ExcelFluent in English and German, further languages such as French, Italian or Spanish a plusBehavioural Skills :
