Founding Engineer / CTO

Munich (Hybrid)

LLM Search AI Infrastructure - Revenue-Generating Startup

€60-85k p / a - up to €110k for exceptional profile + exceptional equity

Build the System That Scales the Company

An early-stage AI startup in Munich is looking for its first true technical leader.

The product already generates ~$400K ARR

Customers range from enterprise to high-growth YC startups.

Demand is strong.

The bottleneck is infrastructure.

This is a “design the machine that scales” role - not a 'join and maintain' role.

What You’ll Do

Architect scalable, multi-tenant backend systems

Design infrastructure to scale to thousands of clients

Improve reliability and uptime while shipping fast

Establish strong DevOps and deployment processes

Move the company from serviceable execution to scalable architecture

Hire and shape the future engineering team

You will work directly with the founder and own technical direction.

Python / FastAPI (Backend)

Supabase (Database)

Cloud-hosted infrastructure (flexible)

Stack is adaptable. Systems thinking matters more than tools.

You Should Have

Shipped a real product from 0?1

Scaled production systems with real users

Strong infrastructure mindset

Bias toward action (ship >

polish)

High ownership and autonomy

Comfort operating in ambiguity
