Job Description : Purchasing Manager

Location : Bavaria, Germany (On-Site)

We have partnered with a rapidly growing supplier of plant-based ingredients, headquartered in Germany, to identify a skilled Purchasing Manager to enhance their procurement operations. This company is renowned for its botanical extracts, medicinal mushrooms, and fruit powders, serving the nutraceutical, Food & Beverage, Pet Food, and Cosmetic industries.

Position Overview : The Purchasing Manager will oversee and optimize the company's international procurement activities, with a particular focus on sourcing from China and India. This on-site role in Germany will require strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of the company’s product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage the procurement of botanical extracts, medicinal mushrooms, fruit powders, and related products.
Develop and maintain relationships with international suppliers, especially in China and India.
Ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing in alignment with company growth objectives.
Monitor market trends and supplier performance to mitigate risks and seize opportunities.
Collaborate with the sales and product development teams to support the company’s expansion into new markets.

Qualifications :

3+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably with international exposure.

Experience sourcing from China and India is highly desirable.

Familiarity with the nutraceutical, Food & Beverage, Pet Food, or Cosmetic industries.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work on-site at the company’s headquarters in Germany.
