Applied Scientist, Agentic AI

Are you interested in machine learning deep learning automated reasoning or optimization If so we want to hear from you! We are looking for scientists with interest in using a variety of domain expertise to invent design and implement state-of-the-art solutions for coding agents.

Key job responsibilities
As an Applied Scientist you will own the design and development of end-to-end systems for coding agents. Youll have the opportunity to write technical white papers create technical roadmaps and drive production level projects that will support Amazon Science. You will have the opportunity to design new algorithms models or other technical solutions whilst experiencing Amazons customer focused culture. The ideal scientist must have the ability to work with diverse groups of people and cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems.

Join our dynamic team of AI/ML practitioners applied scientists software engineers and solution architects who work backwards from customer needs to create groundbreaking technologies. - Experience in building models for business application
- Experience programming in Java C Python or related language
- PhD in computer science machine learning or related fields
- Strong publication record at top-tier machine learning venues such as NeurIPS ICML and ICLR
- Hands-on expertise in fine-tuning and post-training large language models including supervised and preference-based methods.

- Experience working with or evaluating AI systems
- Demonstrated experience developing models for code generation or program synthesis.
- Deep understanding of reinforcement learning including both theoretical foundations and practical applications.
