Strategic Key Account Manager

Macgregor Black are partnering with an industry leading recognised premium consumer brand who are on the search for a talented Strategic Key Account Manager to support on the continued growth of the European business.

This is a permanent remote, based in Germany.

As the Strategic Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing key accounts across Europe. Your focus will be on building strong relationships with major retailers, distributors, and partners to drives sales growth and market share.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of each accounts needs, goals and challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-function teams to ensure the successful execution of account strategies.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profit targets.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the industry.
  • Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts and terms with key accounts.
  • Ensure agreements are mutually beneficial, in line with company objectives.
  • Analyse sales data and market information to create accurate sales forecasts.
  • Work closely with supply chain and production teams to ensure product availability.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on account performance and sales KPI’s to senior management and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.

What are we looking for?

  • 5yrs+ experience in key account management working in consumer (non-food / drink) branded environment, premium / fashion background of interest.
  • Strong understanding of European Key Accounts, mainly within Germany and France.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to develop and implement sales plans.
  • Results-orientated with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Full and clean driving license, with willingness to travel country wide and do overnight stays.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office Suite.
