The Role
Job Requirements :
Educational Qualification : Bachelor’s / Master’s degree or equivalent training in a related field
Experience : 7+ years of experience managing full cycle payrolls for multiple EMEA countries
Location : Germany, hybrid role located close to Ratingen (near Düsseldorf)
The Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing the full scope of payroll processes across the EMEA region in collaboration with external payroll providers, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees. This role involves close collaboration with HR and IS&T departments on payroll-related matters and applications, as well as acting as an administrator for local payroll providers. It is a hybrid position that requires a minimum of two days of presence in the Ratingen (Germany) office per week.
Key Responsibilities :
- Process day-to-day payroll activities
- Export and verify information from SAP for employee payments
- Coordinate payroll matters with local payroll providers
- Review the payroll summary / GL reports and post them in SAP
- Prepare account reconciliations and audit transactional data monthly
- Post payroll journal entries and perform year-end activities
- Reconcile government remittance accounts
- Work with HR on benefit changes and leaves of absence
- Provide positive communication with employees to resolve payroll queries
- Generate various reports for internal groups
- Assist EMEA Operations Manager with special projects as needed
