We arelooking for a Multi-Site General Manager to join the team at theGeorge Campbell Leisure Centre as well as Manor LeisureCentre.

We are looking for a Manager with provenentrepreneurial ability, financial acumen, who has a passion forhigh standards and can demonstrate a history of taking ownershipand delivering results. You will have excellent commercialawareness which you can translate into the successful running ofpopular Leisure Centres. The ability to drive sales / income andmanage expenditure are key qualities for this role. Other keyqualities would be the ability to lead, motivate and support thecentre team and to work with internal and externalcustomers / stakeholders / local community.

Yourresponsibilities will be varied andinclude :

  • Business &Sales Management - Accountability for the business,budgetary and cost centre performance across the whole Centre.Ensuring that sales are driven forward, developing the businessplan and leading colleagues to achieve key performancetargets.
  • OperationalManagement – Leading the team to ensure excellentoperational standards and record keeping is in place. Working withthe team to provide all activities in a safe and welcomingenvironment.
  • PeopleManagement – Managing and recruiting a team wherenecessary, to deliver an exciting leisure offering to the higheststandards, so that the service delivers the financial performancein line with the bid proposal, and delivers our services in a wayto engage with the whole community. Provide the necessary supportand leadership to colleagues for ongoing management and developmentof all.

You should have the necessaryskills and experience to lead the Centre and engage the localcommunity. The person we are looking for will have the ability tomanage a number of priorities at the same time; will be able tobuild, lead and motivate colleagues and have a passion for theleisure and cultural services and events. The ability to deliver ontight deadlines under pressure is absolutelyessential.

This role willbe based between our George Campbell Leisure Centre & ManorLeisure Centre, you will need to be able to travel across thesesites.

Hours : 37 hours per week, Monday -Sunday

Your key responsibilitiesinclude :

  • To develop and grow themembership, activity and attendance at thesite.
  • To manage and be responsible for thecentre’s income and expenditure.
  • To be the leadcontact at site and report to the AreaManager.
  • To ensure that Freedom LeisurePolicies, Procedures and Processes are fully adheredto.
  • To ensure the relevant site auditsprocesses are managed.
  • To produce reports onvarious areas of the centre's operation andKPI’s.
  • MinimumRequirements :

  • At least3 years’ experience in leisurefacilities.
  • Experience of identifying stafftraining and development requirements and identifying developmentopportunities.
  • A passion for the industrydemonstrated through continuous professionaldevelopment.
  • Mobility to travel acrosssites.
