About the role
As a Global Key Account Manager , you will lead, develop, win and maintain business with the strategic automotive accounts, achieving Key Sales KPI’s and Account Plan targets.
You will play a leading role in creating, implementing, and driving the key accounts strategy for the key Divisional customers within the customer and across DS Smith.
Your remit will include but not limited to :
- Proactively manage the account to keep incumbent business and avoid sales leakage;
- Win tenders on incumbent business, deliver and align tender strategies, cooperating with stakeholders in sales, finance, marketing, ventures, legal, etc.;
- Win new business in new segments, and develop new value add offers within the CBU’s key customers and their segments;
- Execute on new wins - nurture the account, deliver innovative solutions and models to embed DS Smith in the account and deliver long term growth;
- Manage the Division Key Account Plan and profitability of the key accounts;
Accountable for customer satisfaction, loyalty and delivering improved customer experience, identifying opportunities in customers supply chain to improve efficiency and reduce cost by developing innovative solutions.
About you
- Qualified to Degree level (or equivalent experience);
- Strong business acumen, commercial experience and demonstrable results from driving and managing sales growth, successful development and execution of account strategy at a Divisional level;
- Ability to navigate a complex global matrix environment;
- Proven ability to grasp, analyse and initiate actions based on strong financial insights and understanding;
- A resilient, entrepreneurial and persuasive change agent with effective communication, networking and stakeholder management skills;
- Fluent written and spoken German and English; additional European languages are advantageous;
Previous experience in the packaging industry preferred but not required.
