In-depth simulations provide insights into the inner conditions of hydraulic components. They enable thorough analysis of existing product designs, support the identification of potential design improvements, and play an essential role in the development of innovative concepts and designs.

To enhance the simulation capabilities at our Innovation Center, your task will involve developing an EHL simulation tailored for hydraulic components.

Your tasks

Development of an Elastohydrodynamic Lubrication ( EHL) simulation
Implementation in existing framework
Comparison to existing literature and measurement data

Your skills

Student of CES, simulation science, …

Strong background in simulation, numerics and programming (Python)

Familiar with hydraulics and / or tribology
