Research Assistant in the Faculty of Computer Science
Main responsibilities :
- Participation in research and teaching (4 semester hours per week) of the research group
- Research and teaching in the area of sensor data fusion, distributed state estimation, and autonomous robotic systems
- Documentation, publication, and presentation of research results
The opportunity to pursue a PhD is given and is supported accordingly.
Requirements for the position :
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related subject
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas :
- Distributed and decentralized information processing
- Sensor data fusion, sensor networks
- Kalman filtering, Bayesian inference
- Machine learning in robotic applications
- Experience in robot programming
- Proficiency in the German and English language (spoken and written)
- High self-motivation, team working skills, and readiness for interdisciplinary work
- Experience in teaching and organization of lectures is an advantage
This is a fixed-term position, initially until 28.02., but can be potentially extended
