Data Engineer - GenAI Specialist (m / f / n)

We are looking for a Generative AI Engineer to join our AI solutions team and deliver production-grade services that combine backend development and secure LLM integration.
This role suits an engineer who thrives at the intersection of software, cloud and GenAI, turning cutting-edge models into reliable business capabilities.
Your tasks
- You develop and maintain backend services that integrate AI capabilities into various domains (IT support, customer service, AI-powered self-service tools for businesses)
- You design, implement and optimise RAG pipelines (AzureOpenAI + pgvector) : document loaders, embeddings, vector indexing, caching and performance tuning ...
- You integrate GenAI services with enterprise systems (via REST APIs, webhooks …) and ensure platforms that consume LLM capabilities can do it securely and at scale
- You develop evaluation and guardrail frameworks (LLM as Judge, adversarial tests, prompt injection defence …) for various use cases
- You ensure robust observability of all GenAI components usage, latency, quality signals, drift and feed insights into runbooks and continuous improvement loops
- You collaborate with AI Solution Engineers through the full delivery cycle (design, code reviews, releases, monitoring, iterative enhancements)
- You embed security-by-design with the AI Security Expert
- You contribute to release planning, deployment automation
Your profile
You hold a university degree in computer science / engineering, mathematics, economics or equivalentYou have experience in building and integrating data-driven backend services including demonstrated hands-on with GenAI or LLM applications in productionYou are proficient in Python and have a solid experience developing backend & API servicesYou demonstrate proven achievements with LLM services, embeddings and vector databasesYou are comfortable with GitLab CI / CD workflows and containerised deployments on KuberneteSecurity minded and a clear communicator able to explain complex GenAI behaviour to non-expertsExcellent interpersonal skills, team spirit, and a high degree of self-motivationHighly effective verbal and written communication skills in English. A good knowledge of Luxembourgish, German or French will be considered as an advantageWhat we offer
